Here you can find one of the most traditional Christmas readings in
English speaking countries, A
Christmas Carol, written by Charles Dickens, first published in serial form by Chapman
& Hall on 17 December 1843.
It tells the story
of bitter old miser Ebenezer Scrooge, "a squeezing, wrenching, grasping, scraping, clutching,
covetous, old sinner", and
his transformation resulting from supernatural visits by Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present and Yet to
Come. Enjoy!
